PTO Meeting Notes

Thursday, 10/15/09

7 p.m.:  Meeting called to order with opening prayer by Meg.

Meg's Report:

-St. Mark Church still needs help with Bingo on Saturdays.

-Cultural Enrichment-earmarked $3000 for the year.

-Need one person for PACE representative: 2 meetings per year (Mr. Joseph Mele will do it).

-Need coordinator for Box Tops for Education (Mrs. Mary Cancilla offered to do it).

-Planning a school-wide Halloween Party on October 29th.

6-7 p.m./PreSchool- Gr. 4-  trick or treating and ice cream (need to ask families to bring bags of candy)

7-9 p.m./Gr. 5-7 Dance and refreshments in the gym.

-Catholic Schools Week

Joan Davis of St. Mary's in Lee invited St. Mark to attend a performance of Hansel and Gretel.

-Working on possibility of a bowling event for all Catholic Schools.

Looking for another option in lieu of pancake breakfast.

-Fence and roof repairs are done!

Treasurer's Report-Lori Borelli

-Reviewed report

-Report does not show late delposit of laptop money.

-$4100 from the Book Fair to go completely to new books for the Library.

-Actual balance around $9000.

Fundraising Ideas

-Cookie Dough/Pastry sale - 40% of profits to school-decided to roll out until December for Christmas delivery.

-Tote Bags-decided to wait until Spring

-Laptops up and running.

-New network printer, generously donated by the Wiles family, is also up and running.
