Dear St. Mark Family & Friends:

"Live according to what you have learned and accepted, what you have heard me say and seen me do. Then will the God of peace be with you." Philippians 4: 6-9.

This school year has brought many new and exciting changes to SMMS. As we grow together, we strive to live according to what we have learned. The children see and hear us as teachers and you as adults and they learn from our behavior. Please help us to reinforce our focus on Personal Responsibility for ourselves and those around us.

God Bless

Academic Ideas:
There's No Such Thing As "No Homework"

"I don't have any homework tonight." Sound Familiar?

Many students respond this way so that they can spend the evening doing something more fun. The best way to check if your child has homework is to look at the homework page on the St. Mark website. Properly completed homework leads to better in-class participation and better grades.

Tardiness: the Growing Problem

There has been a progressive rise in tardiness since the beginning of school. Students not in their homerooms by 8:40 AM are considered tardy for the day. Late arrivals disturb other students and faculty, interrupting lessons and testing.

Students who are tardy three days will receive detention for one afternoon. All tallies are erased on the first day
of the new month.

Please help us put a stop to habitual tardiness.
