Dear St. Mark Family & Friends:
This school year has brought many new and exciting changes to SMMS. As we grow together, we strive to live according to what we have learned. The children see and hear us as teachers and you as adults and they learn from our behavior. Please help us to reinforce our focus on Personal Responsibility for ourselves and those around us. God Bless
"I don't have any homework tonight." Sound Familiar? Many students respond this way so that they can spend the evening doing something more fun. The best way to check if your child has homework is to look at the homework page on the St. Mark website. Properly completed homework leads to better in-class participation and better grades. http://www.stmarkpittsfield.com Tardiness: the Growing Problem There has been a progressive rise in tardiness since the beginning of school. Students not in their homerooms by 8:40 AM are considered tardy for the day. Late arrivals disturb other students and faculty, interrupting lessons and testing. Students who
are tardy three days will receive detention for one afternoon. All tallies
are erased on the first day Please help us put a stop to habitual tardiness. Faculty Focus: News from St. Joseph: St. Joseph Open House:(to be announced) There will
be an opportunity to meet the principal, teachers, coaches and co-curricular
advisers. There will also be plenty of parents and students on hand
who will be happy to share their St. Joe experiences, Textbooks and
curriculum will be available. Student Ambassadors will provide tours
of the building. Light refreshments will be served. 7th Graders
and their parents will receive personal invitations, but parents of
younger students are certainly welcome.
